Skills & experience required to excel in this position: • Assisting with ongoing site-based projects in terms of design development. • Ensure all aspects of design works are backed up by procedures and calculations. • Think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects • Experience in Defect engineering • An enthusiastic approach with an ability to research design solutions for incoming projects of varied size and type • Design of civil and structural elements for typical type projects • The role will also involve client relationship management with the retention of existing business and the generation of new business as high priorities. Foreman / site manager sought for the delivery of Specific Mechanical projects across Dublin and Kildare. The successful candidate will manage site activities on select project(s) overseeing, H&S, coordinating site activities and staff, procurement, verifying technical details, tracking variations and compliance for project handover. The role is ideally suited to a trade or degree qualified foreman or site manager with relevant experience. Responsibilities include; • Review drawings, specifications and ensure site instructions are adhered to. • Responsible for the planning of all resources labour, materials and sub-contractors • Planning out weekly work programmes as well as producing weekly reports on the progress of the projects. • Tracking Variations • Directly liaising with clients and their representatives including attending regular meetings. • Oversee and manage the delivery of quality workmanship, quality and “best practice” measures on each of our contracts. • Keeping tight controls ensuring quality. • Constantly reinforce the health & safety culture, striving for an accident free site. • Report into the Managing Director/Engineers to ensure the site programmes meets the budget and timelines. Key Requirements • Strong Supervisory & Management skills • 2+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory role required. • Relevant trade background or Mechanical Engineering Qualification. • Experience on Commercial projects necessary. • Strong team player with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Send your resume to HR@hayesmecheng.com Duties: • Review contract documents, specifications, design drawings and ensure contract compliance. • Prepare reports, and document findings on conformance and non-conformance to management. • Liaise with contractors, vendors, suppliers ensuring that standards, relevant regulations, and legal requirements are achieved. • Coordinate, monitor & inspect work on site in compliance with design drawings, specifications & standards. • Development Project measure prior to commencement of Construction in line with the agreed project programme • Understand the requirements and actions to be taken to test, commission and handover the project prior to the commencement of the commissioning period • Ensure the quality of materials and workmanship are in compliance with design, specification, quality standards & regulations. • Report on related quality matters, including third-party inspections, progress, EHS and causes for delay. • Maintain project budgets and deliver what has been promised to the client on the time safely & to the highest quality. • Build relationships with all parties involved in the project and maintain effective team communication and cooperation for successful project completion • Maintain a site diary / day book • The role will require frequent travel throughout all regions of operation across all business unit • Hold a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline and three plus years of related field experience. Duties: • Prepare cost estimate for all project phases, preparing tender documents, contracts, drawings, BoQ, specifications, budgets and maintain accurate records • Performs material take offs prior to the purchase requisitions for the projects and reports any irregularities or discrepancies to the project management • Perform and implement post contract duties including measurements, final accounts & evaluation reports. Preparation of payment application and agreeing with Client • Work very close with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified • Manage, examine, control and evaluate subcontractor works, evaluate claims, variations, invoices and ensure the contractual obligations are satisfied • Evaluate quotations obtained from suppliers & subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications are in line with tender and projects specifications. The job includes: 1.Working with flat metal, such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel 2. Following engineering drawings to mark out precise shapes on the metal in preparation for cutting 3. Cutting out the metal shapes using a hand saw, machine saw, laser cutter or guillotine. 4. Shaping the metal using a variety of other tools including small presses, roller machines and hammers 5.Finishing the product using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface 6. Assembling the parts by welding, bolting or riveting them together, or preparing the parts for a welder to assemble 7. Inspecting and testing components produced to ensure they meet quality standards 8. Carry out basic maintenance on tools and equipment and reporting any faults 9. Completing production records CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 1. At least one year sheet metal worker experience 2. Safepass 3.
